The Eyes
The Eyes There are eyes in the night sky and they’re watching me every night. What have I done to attract their gaze? Or am I just unfortunate enough to have noticed whilst everyone else just continues to shuffles through their lives? I think they’ve hidden behind the moon until now or maybe whatever cosmic creature they belong to has just gotten close enough for them to not look like stars now… but if that’s the case, how big is this being? Why are they staring at us at all times? What does it want with this planet? I feel my own eyes looking up every night, searching for them again and again, as if I’m trying to tell myself they’re not there anymore. But now that I’ve noticed… it’s hard to forget. I suppose I could be simply going mad but my mind is not a terrible thing to lose. At least when that thing arrives (not if, when), I’ll be blissfully ignorant of the worlds destruction. Though… maybe I could spare myself from a painful end? F...
